Blessed Alfredo Parte Saiz was born in Cilleruelo de Bricia, Burgos, and overcame physical disability through remarkable perseverance and trust in God. A gifted teacher and compassionate priest, he faithfully served the Piarist mission despite many hardships.

• Imprisonment & Martyrdom

Imprisoned aboard the infamous "Ghost Boat," he openly proclaimed his priestly identity without fear. Before his execution, he cast aside his crutches, declaring that he would not need them in heaven. His heroic faith and joyful acceptance of martyrdom remain an enduring testimony to Christian hope and courage.
